We at Nuage Jewels want our customers to have the greatest possible flexibility and the very highest quality of natural diamonds, therefore we have chosen that all round brilliants are of excellent quality on
cutting, symmetry and polishing, this is called that a diamond is Triple Excellent Cut or that it is a Triple X diamond. There are a few jewelry companies that
provides this quality of craftsmanship in its standard range. Buying a Triple Excellent Cut diamond means you are buying the very best craftsmanship available. As the GIA does not yet grade the Cut grade on Fancy Cut diamonds, we have, according to our high standard, chosen to only buy in Fancy Cut diamonds with equivalent properties to our round brilliants and always Excellent in Polish and Symmetry.

All our diamonds, in all different shapes, are of the highest craftsmanship quality. This applies to all predetermined diamonds and all selectable diamonds of standard and premium quality. This also applies to all diamonds you ask us to select and buy for you that are not part of our selectable range. Furthermore, it applies
our very own Nuage Supreme Cut Diamond Series which are very rare and extraordinary diamonds that are among the absolute finest diamonds available
buy in the world. The Nuage Supreme Cut has very precise specifications on the symmetry of the diamond for absolutely outstanding diamonds with the best visual characteristics obtainable.

Nuage Jewels is, to our knowledge, the only jewelry company in the world that provides this very highest quality of diamonds in a selectable diamond assortment in predetermined sizes.

0.001% of all diamonds

The few diamonds that to color and clarity qualify to be included in Nuage Supreme Cut The series belongs to less than 0.001% of all diamonds that exist in the world. Add to that the extraordinary craft with an unbeatable symmetry and you have a diamond that is very rare, an estimated 1 per 100 million. Nuage Supreme Cut Diamonds are of the Super Ideal Cut class, which is a grading far past what GIA offers in its grading.

Other companies that offer ideal cut or even super ideal cut on diamonds have varied color and clarity as well as a non -predetermined range, while we can offer the very best diamonds with the absolute best symmetry that can be obtained on a round diamond.

GIA certified diamonds

GIA's comprehensive certification method is the certification method for diamonds that has the highest reputation in the world, it is considered to maintain a high standard and it is the method that is used to the greatest extent today. An example of GIA's higher quality can be said that a diamond that received the color F in a GIA certification may have received the color D in another certification, it is therefore easier to get a higher specification with other certifications, hence it is not possible to compare diamonds that are certified by GIA with diamonds that are certified by other methods. Diamonds certified by GIA naturally usually have a higher price tag due to this reliability and quality difference.

The 4Cs of the diamond

A round natural diamond is the most sought after and most expensive form of diamond. A diamond is priced based on all of the diamond's parameters, primarily the diamond is valued based on the so-called four c's: Color, Clarity, Cut and Carat. In addition to the four c's, the diamond's symmetry and polish have a very large significance for the diamond's reflective properties of light and thus how the diamond is perceived, which affects its value.

Nuage Jewels is affiliated with GIA as a supplier of GIA-certified diamonds, therefore the different scales of diamonds are presented in accordance with GIA's standard.

Color

The diamond's colorlessness is valued higher than a non-colorless diamond where a yellow color is considered the least valuable. Diamonds with the rarest colors are valued significantly higher than colorless diamonds, for example naturally pink diamonds from Australia that can cost up to one million Australian dollars per carat.

GIA uses a D-to-Z color grading scale to measure the degree of colorlessness by comparing a stone under controlled lighting and precise viewing conditions to master stones of established color value. The color scale is also divided into five subcategories: Colorless (DF), Almost Colorless (GJ), Weak (KM), Very Light (NR) and Light (SZ). Many of these color distinctions are so subtle that they are invisible to the untrained eye, but these differences make a very big difference in diamond quality and price.

Clarity

Clarity is another important factor in determining the value of a diamond. Clarity refers to the absence of inclusions and blemishes in a diamond. Diamonds formed deep within the earth, under extreme heat and pressure, often contain unique birthmarks, either internal (inclusions) or external (beauty spots).

The GIA has developed a clarity scale for diamonds. The clarity scale has 6 categories with a total of 11 specific degrees. These grades range from Flawless (FL), where no inclusions or blemishes are visible to a skilled judge at 10x magnification, to Included (I1, I2 and I3), where the inclusions are apparent under 10x magnification and can affect transparency and brilliance.

Diamonds with inclusions can affect the diamond's light properties and a diamond with a lower grade of clarity, usually listed from SI and below, can be perceived as dark as light cannot travel through the diamond and reflect the light as intended.

A diamond's clarity directly determines how the diamond is perceived. A clarity level of VS is usually considered a standard level while the higher ones
the levels VVS, IF and FL are considered more exclusive diamonds.

In order to avoid that the diamonds we sell are perceived as dark or have poor light properties, as standard we only sell diamonds with a quality higher than VS2. We also have diamonds with clarity VVS1 as well as FL, which is the absolute highest quality of clarity obtainable.

Carat (Carat)

Diamond weight is measured in carats. A carat is equal to 0.2 grams, about as heavy as a paper clip. Larger diamonds are rarer and cost more per carat than a smaller diamond of the same quality of color, clarity and cut.

The choice of diamond size in a piece of jewelery is individual and depends on a number of different factors. A better quality diamond is always preferable to a larger diamond as the diamond's light properties are what get the diamond's attention.

There is a big difference in a diamond's reflection of light and its "fire" on a diamond with excellent symmetry and polish compared to a diamond with a lower specification. Fire, or eld as it is called in Swedish, is
the flashes of light that a diamond emits when it reflects light. A diamond with poorer symmetry does not emit as much fire as a diamond with excellent symmetry. Fire is considered to be the most magical property of a diamond, which is what gives the diamond the attention it deserves.

A triple cut cut diamond that has poor clarity or high fluorescence can be perceived as cloudy and dull due to poor reflection of light. In addition, a diamond with high fluorescence can be luminescent in ultraviolet light. Due to these negative characteristics, we have chosen to provide only
diamonds with "none to faint" fluorescence and without inclusions visible to the naked eye.

Anatomy of the Diamond

The anatomy of the diamond is about all the physical parts and dimensions of the diamond and how they relate to each other. Each part and its proportions are important for the diamond's light properties. Luminous properties refer to a diamond's "fire", "sparkle", and "brightness", which is achieved through perfect symmetry and polishing, which is what has the greatest impact on how a diamond is perceived.

Lab grown diamonds

CVD diamonds, or Chemical Vapor Deposition diamonds, are synthetic diamonds created in a laboratory. the manufacturing process
involves placing diamond seeds in a vacuum chamber where they are exposed to a mixture of hydrocarbon gas at moderate pressures and temperatures.

Advantages of CVD diamonds:

They are ethically produced, which means that no mining is required and there is no risk of human rights being violated during the manufacturing process.

They have the same physical and chemical properties as natural diamonds.

We provide lab grown diamonds over 1.30mm in size. All lab grown diamonds over 0.50 Carat are certified by IGI with a diamond report. If you as a customer want a GIA certificate for your lab-grown diamond, or if you want to get a smaller diamond (down to 0.2 Ct) certified, just contact us.
